About us
A small charity that tells you what things cost.
Cloud Foundation Inc. exists to move money from people who have it to programmes in Colombia run by people who live where the need is. We are deliberately small, deliberately specific, and we publish our unit costs.
Our mission
To mobilise financial, strategic and relational resources from North America to fund church planting, ministry training and community transformation across Latin America — principally in Medellín, Colombia.
In practice that means four kinds of work: feeding people who are hungry today, building places where children can be taught tomorrow, training the leaders who will still be there in ten years, and responding when a disaster puts all of it at risk.
Led from Medellín, not from Florida
Joel and Giselle Manderfield founded and lead Cloud Foundation, and they live in the city they serve. Joel is lead pastor of Iglesia Real in Medellín and travels regularly to Texas and other US states to meet partners face to face.
Our strength is not scale. It is proximity — we are in the places we serve, and we work through congregations and partners who remain there long after any visit ends. When we say a kitchen serves 150 people three days a week, someone on our team was there on each of those days.
How we are organised

A nonprofit corporation incorporated in Florida in April 2022 and recognised by the Internal Revenue Service as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) in August 2025. EIN 88-2337360. This is the entity that receives United States gifts and issues acknowledgements.
Fundación Cloud · Colombia
Our Colombian entity, constituted in 2018. It employs and directs the staff and volunteers who run the street kitchen, the Transformation Centers, the distribution teams and the training programmes.
Programmes in Colombia are delivered through Fundación Cloud. Cloud Foundation Inc. holds the Candid Silver Transparency Seal.
Accountability
What we commit to
These are the promises a donor can hold us to. We would rather publish them and be tested than write something warmer and vaguer.
- A gift to a named campaign is used for that campaign. If you give to the street kitchen, it buys meals in El Calvario. It does not quietly become something else.
- Where we publish a number, we can show the record behind it. Every figure on this site — 150 meals, $5 a plate, $20,000 a building — comes from our own records, not an estimate.
- Where we cannot count something yet, we say so. You will not find a rounded-up total on this site that nobody can trace.
- Assistance is given on the basis of need. Nobody has to attend a religious activity, or agree with us about anything, to be fed or taught.
- We protect the people in our programmes before we use their picture. We do not publish photographs that identify children without written consent from a parent or guardian, and we never publish images that identify people in prison, in addiction recovery, or in situations of exploitation.
- Anyone working with children or with survivors of trafficking is screened first. There are no exceptions, including for short trips.
